That's not VGA out. It's analog out for up to a 7.1 speaker setup.

A4, has better DAC's

there was no excuse for creative to not get it right the first time, on the SB Live!. i'm fed up with their mediocre upsampling and having to use foobar tricks to compensate for it.

I use foobar + kernel streaming out the spdif on my SB Live! for music into my stereo. It sounds much much much much better then my A2 + z640's.

Are you kidding?? Look at the caps on that thing. Plus the SNR on the onkyo is 110dB, that's 2x higher quality than the maudio at 107dB.

Onkyo...the Envy24 chipset-based one, right? Nice piece there, you could do well with an entry level mixing setup and that card.

Hey, if this thing has good driver support, i'd pay that much for a quality sound card.

Creative driver support for their cards suck imo. I'm using "kX project" drivers on my SBLive! (16bit, not 24). Creative drivers suck.

that's not a VGA port... it's actually for a connection to a couple of synthesizers/audio boxes/digital signal processors.
