Onkyo 607, no display. To fix or replace, that is the question.

Well I came home the other day to find the display on my Onkyo 607 had stopped working and I couldn't access the OSD. Tried doing the hard reset on it but that didn't help. Based on what I've read looks like I have HDMI issue. I moved recently and my guess is the new spot didn't leave enough room to breathe.

So the debate now is whether it's worth fixing it or whether I should replace it with something new. I don't have a great history of repairing electronics on my own so I'd probably go through one of the Onkyo service centers. Fixing it is probably the cheaper option but my main concern is I get it fixed and it just breaks again. Has anyone here had this repaired before? Does it resolve the issue or is it still prone to failure afterwards?

Thanks!

You can get nice quality receivers for $200-$300 by getting a year old model on clearance. No point in repairing one with known issues. Paid $200 for my $400 receiver. If you can live with a refurb you can score wicked deals on Denon's at accessories4less. Not to mention you can get up to date tech.
