I saw it here in Hong Kong about that time too. I thought it was ok.

Seems to be the general consensus that the fights are good stuff in the sequel, but the movie is just too long and doesn't go anywhere..

Seems maybe Tony Jaa took on too much with directing and starring in this one (considering he just wandered off into the jungle for 6 months during filming due to the stress)
