His post game comments about the officials who called him for the flagrant foul.

The unfortunate thing is it had to be decided by them,'' O'Neal said of the officials. ``A whole bunch of people who paid a lot of money had to see a game that was decided by someone who doesn't make a lot of money.

I'm not sure how the refs being poor has anything to do with the quality of the game watched, but I'm sure Oneal will be getting alot of calls in his favor for the reminder of the year.

Gee, I thought he was a pretty straight shooter. He came right out and said that Bushes budget was a joke as an economic stimulous.

What does the amount of money he gets paid have to do with him doing his job ?

Maybe we should pay ref's more and players less eh ?

Unfortunately, that's true.

Hopefully, the majority of parents are good enough to have shown their kids how to differentiate between a jerk and a wise man.

Shaq is a tool. And he's WAY overrated. Its like a 4th grader playing basketball with a bunch of first graders. Hmmm I wonder if he will score a lot??

How is Shaq "overrated"? He's big, so he produces. 9-time all-star, 3 titles, 3 NBA finals MVPs, and one of the 50 greatest players in NBA history. Saying he has an advantage over a lot of other centers because of his size is one thing. Saying he's "overrated" is just plain stupid. He seems to be able to live up to all the hype.

The nba is entertainment. That said hes one of the best entertainers in the history of the league. Not many can command an audience like him, much less keep it. Those who say he's a stupid moron are ignorant smugs who don't like success from someone who doesn't fit their own molds of what people should be like. In a society that rewards successful capitalists, you guys equal losers at best, and he's laughing all the way to the bank.

So according to you ONeal saying "`A whole bunch of people who paid a lot of money had to see a game that was decided by someone who doesn't make a lot of money." wasn't stupid and moronic.

ok so the call was b.s. that got the rockets 2 points. 108-2 = 106 = still more points than the lakers had.

*edit* and it didn't matter that the rockets got the ball back because they didn't score.

He also said something to the effect of: "There had several people on me. Don't say Yao blocked my shots, say "they" blocked my shots."

We did have players helping on Shaq. But I noticed at least one of Yao's blocks on him was straight up, one on one facing the basket.

Shaq just can't admit he got stuffed.

To be fair, it was a BS call

If I was the ref, I might not call it a fragrant, but I certainly do understand them calling it a fragrant when the other players mouth piece got knocked out when Oneal made no attempt at the ball.

Also, I guess Oneal and the Lakers knows a little of how the Kings feel like last year in the playoffs.

humm.......how many of you bashing shaq are kings fans? or even rockets fans? yeah, i thought so
rolleye.gif

now let's see, would you take:

1 shaq:the ungracious loser (b1tches after almost every loss)

2 webber: the perjurer (lied to the grand jury)

3 francis: the tantrum thrower (refused to play for his draft team and demanded a trade, vancouver)

are you saying you'd rather have your kids take webber as a role model over shaq? or even francis over shaq? i greatly respect everyone of the above mentioned players, but does one man really deserve to be hated that much more than any other?
