One wireless device has issues, when others don't.

Visiting my gf currently and her macbook pro is having issues using their house wifi. It has no issues connecting but the data throughput is incredibly bad even with good reception. No other devices on the network exhibit these systems and over wired her connection speeds are normal.

Now, I don't know anything about Macs, if this were a PC I'd try one of my extra wireless cards and see if that solves the issue, but I don't have one with me. Ideas?
