It's a VW, what did you expect?

I think typically with a Volkswagen, the wipers come on, speed up, become frantic, then the windshield washers spray a white gooey substance on the windshield, followed by a "chime" to draw your attention to the "You've just been fvcked" light on the dash.

That link is so NSFW (not the picture, but the site behind it!)

Anyways, I took it to the dealer yesterday even though the problem disappeared. They replaced a relay and said if that doesn't fix it I can drop the car off.

In the end it was a small, minor inconvenience to put up with for an AWESOME car. I just love driving this thing around, and its a very comfortable driver's car. Been getting nothing but complements everywhere I go.

I dont know one person who would comment on a Jetta? An acura, possibly, a maybach, definately, a volkswagen, doubtfully... maybe MAYBE a Phaeton, but DEFINATELY not a Jetta.

That could just be me....

LOL, OP you should have read the replies to your original thread. Theses issues should not be a surprise.

A surprise is having to scrape the INSIDE of your Passat every winter morning because the stealership insists that there is no leak around the windows.

A surprise is driving down the highway and having the entire Pissant instrument cluster die while going 60 MPH.

A surprise is the VW service adviser not being invited to family functions because you know him/her soooo well.

One of my roommates in college had a VW. I will never buy one of their cars. The electronics in his dashboard would fail a week after replacement. Eventually he just gave up and drove around without a working speedometer.

Oh, and every time something failed they would take him to the cleaners because his car was no longer under warranty.

i've love how there are so many people bashing a car they've never driven or owned. i know tons of vw drivers without any issues. no car manufacturer is perfect.
