One way cable modem service with BEFW11S4 wireless router???

I am considering signing up for a one way cable modem service to my house. Right now I have 2 computers hooked up and sharing a dial-up connection via 2 Linksys WUSB11 v2.5 network boxes and a Proxim Harmony wireless AP.

My question is: Can I use a Linksys or Motorola cable modem (My cable company uses a Surfboard 4100- compatable with one way cable modem service) with this one way service in conjunction with a Linksys BEFW11S4 wireles router? Or will the router only work with two way cable modem service.

If the wireless router will only work with two way cable modem service, is a possible alternative to use a Cable modem with a built in 56k modem? I'm not sure how many choices there are out there for an item like this, but I know they exist. What are my alternatives?

Any help would be appreciated.

Anybody? I'd like to jump on this deal before it expires tonigh!!! I can get the wireless router for $140 or so at Dell.

The thing I'd like to accomplish is to share an internet connection if BOTH computers are on, but I'd like to be able to dial out and access the cable modem on my computer when the other is off.

HELP!

your best bet is not to get a wireless router but just get a wireless hub instead... keep your net connection the same way you have it in your current computer, then just share your connection to the rest of the other computers (either through a wireless card or get a nic that can connect into the the wireless hub...) the only catch is that the computer with the access right now must always be on for the other ones to get on...

just what i would do... keep asking around tho someone might know...
