One USB2.0 working, another one isn't

Hi,

I recently bought a Fractal Design R3 Black Pearl case with frontal:
2x USB2.0 ports
1x USB3.0 port

The USB 3.0 works.
One USB 2.0 works as well, but the second one doesn't, meaning that it looks that it's not powered, Windows doesn't detect it when I plug in one USB stick, and the light on the stick it's not on.

the motherboard is an AsRock B75 PRO3.

I find this strange because the case connector for the two USB2.0 is double, so for sure I plug it in correctly on the motherboard. I plugged this double connector in another USB2.0 header on the motherboard and the result is the same, one USB 2.0 works, the other one doesn't.

How shall I check which is the issue?

Thank you

Sounds like the problem is in the cable that runs to the front ports. If you have a multimeter you could ohm out each of the wires from the motherboard end of the cable to the USB end.

Do you have one of those rear PCI port USB brackets handy? Plug it into the motherboard and see if you have two working ports.

Odd, I have the older version of the R3, with two USB 2.0, and an esata and I have the same issue, one of the USBs doesn't work. I don't think it ever did.
