One turn signal blinking really fast?

I wish one of my lights was just burned out. My whole wiring on the inside o' my Ranger is fscked.

Sometimes signals stay on, sometimes my wipers go off randomly, sometimes, smoke comes out the steering column. Fun stuff. 🙂

Well I know my bulb isnt burned out because I can see it blinking, and its been doing it for about 6 months, I was just curious. Hmm wait, unless its the back bulb? Thanks

Could also be a bad blinker box. ( the thing tha makes the signals blink ) you can always pick up a new onje, it goes in like a fuse, and should be in the fuse box. costs about $3

I would still replace the bulb....my buddy had that same problem and replaced the bulb and it was fixed...even though the original bulb still worked.

It's not necessarily the turn signal bulb that is burned out. Depending on your car, it could be any of the signal bulbs or the brake bulb. Either that or one of the bulb connections are loose.

If after 6 months you're too lazy to walk around your car to check the bulbs, I'm pretty sure a Cop will bring it to your attention eventually.

I doubt it's the flasher module, because it's doing it only on one side. The flasher module flashes faster if more current is being drawn through it, so something is giving an easier path to ground on that one side. Could be a bulb, but more likely is a shorted out wire. Changing bulbs is cheap and easy, therefore a good place to start.
