I've heard people speak of it but me no comprendo, where on the paypal site does one generate a unique credit card number?

Perhaps it's just a function of their credit card and not the main paypal functions?

Thanks...

no , i have used it and i have a normal paypal account, no PP CC

it is tricky to find, i usually go in through the list of shopping sites and there is a link to use the one time CC from there

go to paypal.com
login
click withdraw
click shop online with a paypal virtual card
you can then pick either a store that is on the drop down list or enter newegg.com into the fill in box :p

it then checks to see if you can use the virtual card, the requirements listed are:

To use this feature, you must meet the following requirements:

Have a positive U.S. Dollar balance
Add a credit card
Complete your Expanded Use enrollment
Add and confirm control of a checking account
Click the "My Account" tab to view your current balance and links that will help you to add and confirm your financial information.

from there it will put a little window at the bottom with how much you can spend, the limit is $150 a day i believe

so you have to have some paypal balance first, so either sell something in FS/T . or add some to your paypal balance ahead of time, it won't do an instant transfer from your checking to let you use the virtual card

Interesting, it's not "one time use." The number actually stays the same unless you report it lost/stolen. I wonder if you get into any account problems if you report it lost/stolen too much.

Still handy, though.
