One time use credit card ?

Hi are there one time credit cards like visa or american express where you can buy the card for a certain amount and the card is good to that amount ?
If there is who provides it and can anyone buy it even without credit ?

MBNA and WebCertificate, both offer this feature.

MBNA should be used if you're buying stuff for yourself.

WebCert should be used if you want a temporary one time use only credit card to give as a gift to someone.

It's pretty much like a debit card, like when you use your debit card you can only spend as much money as you have in your checking account, you can only spend as much as you put on the credit card.

I went into a local Rite Aid this past weekend and they had these prepaid Mastercard cards for $10 + the amount you want to fill it with. It's essentially a physical, full-fledged Mastercard that you can use online or a B&M store and it'll stop working once you used up your prepaid funds. Anybody can get it.. just go in, buy one, and pay with cash.
