One single file download for Windows 98 updates?

My friend is going home this weekend, using a rescue disc for his parent's laptop. Some old beater that has been overtaken by everything. I advised him of all the updates that are for Windows 98, and that they may not all be on Microsoft's site. (I thought it had reached it's End of Life status.)

But I was wondering if there was anywhere that had all single Critical Updates for download in one file? Instead of me downloading them all, zipping them up, and uploading for him to burn before he goes home. (His parents are on dialup, but luckily most Windows 98 updates are small in size.) But I don't even know if the Windows Update will work for Windows 98.

This is as far as I got:
SoftwarePatch.Com
And
Microsoft Windows 98 Updates

Basically, just wondering if anyone knew where they could download all updates as one single file.

Thanx in Advance Ladies.

windows update works on 98, it should do the latest service pack and then there might be a few more after that.

i wish 98 supported software update services.

I read this thread the day after it was posted, but didn't come back. That is, until I stumbled upon the Unofficial 98SE Service Pack page @ exuberant software today while following a link on another forum. I rushed back to share what I found but you beat me to it! :D

But yeah, Windows Update still works for 98/98SE/ME, but I can understand wanting a single download if you don't have broadband. You can also configure Windows Update to download the updates to a directory on your hard disk instead of installing them.
