one single 6800nu vs. dual video card (6600gt)

i want to know which one runs better for quake 4 or far cry or extensive games?

Two 6600GTs will have more beef, but are going to be a lot more expensive, especially considering they are only $25-$50 less than a 6800NU.

Quake 4 isn't even out, so obviously no one knows how well exactly that game will run on what hardware.

I'm assuming that you can spend on 2x6600 Gt. If it is that way, you can grab a 6800GT instead since it will outperform 6800 or 2 6600GT without a question.

I dont think a 6800gt will even be able to play Quake 4. The 7800GTX has been out only a couple of months and we already have games out that can cripple it on high settings. lol And I'm just sitting here with my GeForce 4 MX 420. Enjoying playing my UT2K4 at 800x600 all low settings and getting 17fps 🙂 (Wish I had a 7800GTX though 🙂) Doesn't it kinda bother you that the 7800GTX that you spent $600 on right when it came out will be worth $20 in 3 - 5 years 🙁. My card was worth $100 when I got it.
