One should have a "delete" option after reading a pm. there are only "done" and "reply" buttons...then one needs to go thru the whole list of PMs just to delete old messages...

anyone agree also?

Shakes? Nope. FuseTalk is a product, it's future is dictated by our customer base as a whole not just one customer, and it's forum members.

Thank you.

Beginning to sound like a big time software/hardware company there ;)

I don't think the request is unreasonable at all, just makes sense to have the option.

Yep, it's intuitive to be able to delete the message once you've read it. It feels natural to say "Okay, I read it, don't need it". It feels clunky to read it, then go to the PM history just so you can get rid of it, particularly for those folks who have the 100 PM limit.

It's been brought up several other times by many other users and I can't think of anyone who voiced any opposition to the option. I've never heard a "No" which makes me think it's on the "We could do this but we'll wait until we get around to it." list.

i didn't realize that this was not an option in the program itself...i don't usually mess around with the forum's options too much and thought that someone more familiar with the forum would point out an obvious way...

anyways, no matter...just thought i could help improve the forum with more user friendly features. keep up the good work.

The new microsoft, cept now they're making forum software ;)

J/K Zuni...

Fusetalk here is pretty much already customized, can't we just add it here or at least make it an admin option for other forums who maybe don't have such a PM limit like we do... I mean I really think this is a good feature and don't understand why it gets shot down time after time... Your reply didn't really answer the question either. I can imagine you deal with a lot of headaches trying to please everyone, but I do believe that if anandtech ENFORCES a pm limit, it should be more convienient for the people to manage such a small amount of given messages...

Maybe I sound like an ass, and I probably am, but I don't quite understand. I definitely know I wouldn't want to be in your position at least when it comes to the hordes of users :)

Anyways, enough ranting. I don't pay for it, so I shouldn't be bitching. I hate when people do that about whatever little petty server/site I have, I can imagine it's just as discouraging for you.

Your software is damn good, just don't get too over the top :)

Thanks.
