One rule I would change in basketball

a foul should always hurt.

Fouls with under a minute left should always give the team 3 foul shots, instead of 2.

I hate this fouling to help your team...its the only sport that doing something against the rules helps you.

That is an awful idea.

y because it would make them actually play till the end of the game...im tired of seeing the last minute or two be just free throws...it makes a possibly exciting game so boring

I hate the fact that in nearly all sports, they don't call fouls/penalties much in the closing minutes of a game. That is total BS. People say "don't blow the whistle, let the players decide it". What a load of crap. Who decided the game up to the last 2 minutes? The fans? Coaches? Managers? Hell no, the players. If you hit someone on the arm in the first quarter, it's a foul. If you do the same with 30 seconds to go, it's a foul.

What was that ? A sport where the last 60 seconds on the clock could mean 20 minutes ?

Basketball should start winding down at 60 seconds... that's when it gets anything close to exciting anyway...

Want to REALLY make it interesting? In the last 60 seconds of the game, there are NO rules at all, except, the ball must pass completely thru the basket in order to score. Those guys will earn those bucks then.

haha...well my complaint is in the other major sports this doesnt happen..

in the ninth inning of baseball you cant just not pitch the ball to the other team.

in football you can run out the clock, but you cant run up and hit the guy everytime he is going for a catch. If that happened the game would never end.

in hockey you cant just hit the guy with your stick everytime they have the puck

you cant do it in these sports because the penalty is too great and makes it not worthwhile. basketball doesnt believe in this.

The whole idea is that its an entirely different sport. Hence, entirely different rules. It shouldn't be compared to anything else.

mmm i dont agree with your solution... but i agree something should be done about the end of a basketball game. it takes all the excitement out of the game. maybe they should disallow timeouts in the final minute. 😛 i dunno.
