Einstein: Advocate for Civil Rights

Einstein was a member of the NAACP, co-chairing a committee to end lynching.

In 1946, the Nobel Prize-winning physicist traveled to Lincoln University in Pennsylvania, the alma mater of Langston Hughes and Thurgood Marshall and the first school in America to grant college degrees to blacks. At Lincoln, Einstein gave a speech in which he called racism “a disease of white people,” and added, “I do not intend to be quiet about it.” He also received an honorary degree and gave a lecture on relativity to Lincoln students.

In fact, many significant details are missing from the numerous studies of Einstein’s life and work, most of them having to do with Einstein’s opposition to racism and his relationships with African Americans.

Relatively speaking, he was woke in many other ways. He could feel, not just think.

On Dec 4, 1948, Einstein and many other Jewish academics wrote a letter to the NYT protesting the visit to the U.S. of Menachem Begin, a former leader of the Irgun, a right-wing Zionist terrorist org involved in the massacre of civilians in Palestine. Begin of course became PM of Israel decades later and founded the Likud party of which Netanyahu is now leader of. His visit the U.S. was to seek support from for the coming Israeli elections and to cement ties with "conservative Zionists elements".

If that isn't the answer, what is?
I'm just saying I don't think it's relevant what an expert in one field thinks about a completely unrelated topic. The first person that comes to mind is Ben "They Pyramids were grain silos" Carson lol.

You said he was wrong. I’m asking you what you think is the right answer.

Let us hope that in a hundred years time people will look back at liberal hatred for conservatives today just like we cast a jaundiced eye on the rampant misogyny of the past.
Is that not what you do when you go "slavery was bad"? And by you I mean you specifically.

Oh, my mistake, we're at that lest not throw stones junction again, less you be moonie.

It was much worse than that. He was a racist too. My guess is that like most people who reason, he developed over time and left a lot of shit behind. It is common for people who have opinions without the slightest idea of their own ignorance on the matter.

I don’t know how his wife was involved in his research but that does not change him being woke on the subject of racism. Being woke does not make you a saint it means you are aware of injustice. He actually said that and that he wouldn’t remain silent.

He did say disparaging things about Asians in his early diary writing. He appears to have had a change of heart later. That is possible with human beings. People often have positions where they realize later in life their mistakes.

One of those writings indicated knowing how Jews were being treated he was able to recognize the plight of blacks and empathized.

He spoke almost exclusively to black institutions later in his career. He befriended prominent blacks who being discriminated. Invited them to stay at his house. Public ally stood up against discrimination. A lot of what he did was not written about. We know certain people don’t want all of history known.

Nobody becomes a shit disturber who hasn't disturbed a lot of personal shit.

Regarding the neoteny of Asian people, he commented in his personal diary that he couldn't imagine how Chinese men could breed with Chinese women, a problem I certainly can't imagine having. Chinese men are OK by me. Just kidding.

I don't see how anybody who grew up with racist ideas can have those ideas survive after witnessing what it does to children.

I am sure I would vehemently disagree with this if I knew what it meant. All I can figure is you giving up early in the face of certain defeat. Don't forget I have thought from childhoow that I was hundreds of years ahead of my time and will likely die before most of you catch up.
