One of the reasons I love Newegg.

Firstly, I've never had a problem with 'em, had a few RMAs and there were never any issues with replacements. On Tuesday I ordered a BenQ G2400WD and I got the "Card was Charged" email. Checked my mail yesterday, was hoping for a shipping email with tracking. No dice, I let out a small sigh, but I ordered late on Tuesday so I thought no biggie. Just checked my mail today, bam, shipping email with tracking. Click the tracking link.. out for delivery. Win.

That sounds like a fail to me.

Why? Standard processing time backed the email up, by the time my order was processed and through the email server, etc.. my product is nearly on my doorstep. 😛 Sounds good to me.

Newegg's shipping is awesome! I rarely wait longer than a day and a half for my package, even with "standard" shipping.

Ditto!
2 days was the longest I've had to wait.

Forget to mention that, this was the standard shipping. Love it.

I really appreciate NewEggs customer service as well. I recently ordered some ram from them and unfortunately it was shipped from Missouri rather than California via DHL. No update on the shipping info after 2 days.

Having had bad experiences with DHL in the past, I sent an email to NewEgg. I just couldn't believe DHL was cheaper than USPS for shipping 2 sticks of ram. I also sent an email to DHL to track my package.

Next day, NewEgg apologizes for any inconvenience and refunds my shipping.

Two days later, DHL says they can't track my package without all the info, after I completely filled out their tracking form with all the requested information! I did receive my ram a week after ordering which was fine albeit a little slower than NewEgg usually is.

NewEgg 1 DHL 0

I prefer Adam and Eve's shipping. Much more discreet.
Personally I'm a fan of shipping via an Eulerian circuit, it's truly discrete.😉

:camera:s or shens.

Yeah. Egg is great. Ordered some AS5 and used their 'Egg Saver' 3-7 days and it got to me in 3. This is right after Thanksgiving too.

Mwave processes orders even faster, I still get my package the next day (I live about 35 miles from their warehouses) But when I place an order on Mwave it's typically boxed up and shipped within 2 hours. Oh and Mwave does Will Call. If Newegg did Will Call I would use it often, but sadly they still don't 🙁

Their PC parts are awesome, but their electronics sales suck.

They seem to take a hands off "buy at your own risk" stance on things like TV's and other equipment. Most of them don't come with any warranty (manufacturer's warranty only), yet they're higher priced than Amazon.

Not sure why they even bother selling the stuff.

The egg is still one of my favorite e-tailers, but you need to shop around just like any other purchase. If given the choice of a rebate or pay a little more at newegg, its newegg everytime.
Shipping is also one of those things you always need to consider, free is great but watch out for the eggsaver shipping. 80% of my purchases have blown me away with how fast it gets to me, 10% are "as advertised" and then there is that 10% that is eggsaver. Eggsaver usually goes from DHL to USPS and gets lost for a couple of days while it tours the country and finally arrives almost two weeks later from just one state away (NJ to PA). I'll always factor that in if I my need is immediate or "just get me my best price".

Pfft. I've been buying computer parts online from a new source these past couple of weeks. They are so freaking awesome that I don't even have to go their website; I just think about what I want and my card is charged AND the package shows up the next day.

Beat that.

/I figured rather than thread crap about how poorly Newegg has treated me and many other long-time, big-dollar customers, I'd just say something unique and creative. And that's that.

? Similar to most established businesses that sell via internet

No it's not. Most places have at least a 30 day return policy. Their return policies always have strange riders, they attach return fees, etc.
