One of the pins in my monitor's cable is missing!!!

Hi there,

I have a Nokia 446xs 19 inch monitor. Today while disconnecting my monitors cable I discovered that one of the pins for my 15 pin dsub connector was missing!!

Just curious here but does this affect picture quality? video degradation or anything in that area?

By the way Nokia is out of the monitor business so would any 15 dsub pin connector do? if not whats the best brand name?

This is totally normal. It is common for a VGA connector to have 1, 2 or 3 pins missing as they are not used.
