One of the keys on my dell laptop's keyboard just fell off

How do I get this thing back on? this has happened once or twice before (different keys though), but it just snapped back in when I pushed it, this one however is being a real pain in the butt. Do I attack the white hinged peice to the keyboard or the key first? Getting it on the key is easy, but I can't get it to attach to the keyboard in the front

edit: I pulled another off, and there's a small metal tab that's bent down on the first one, which is why it refuses to snap in. hopefully it'll bend not break...
