Ah, sounds like you had a fake "Chicago-style" made by morons who have never visited Chicago. It happens, A LOT. Chicago style pizza crust is usually about 1/8-1/4" thick. It is like a pie crust, not a loaf of bread.

Regardless, Chicago-Style thincrust is >>> *, but it is almost impossible to find it outside Chicago.

And we do have good NY style pizza, although it's not exactly the same. It does come close though. One of my favorite things about visiting my sister-in-law in NYC is visiting the local pizza joint.

It's like a huge unedible slice of grease that you have to fold in half to even get into your mouth. I've had both numerous times and can say without a doubt there is no contest.

Water supply for NYC comes from several reserviors upstate. NYC has some of the best tasting and best filtered water in the world (especially for an urban environment).

not to mention, Florida has some of the most vile water imaginable.

The OP pic looks like typical NY Pizza. You have to know where to go to get something truly exceptional. And getting it delivered, while sometimes the only option, is guaranteed to significantly degrade the quality .
