In which she says that Fridays are special days - in her words, it's "relax day". I'm laughing so hard right now, I'm having a difficult time coming up with a professional response.

Tell her to relax as much as she can Friday because you need her to work on Saturday.

Tell her if she relaxes on Friday she can relax for the rest of next week.

Tell her that only if you worked hard enough the rest of the week and that you decide how hard is enough.

So, is this an admission that you know less than your subordinate when it comes to Fridays?

Every day is relax day... Seriously, you people care way too much about work. In a hundred years, not one single accomplishment in your work will be remembered. Neither will time spent relaxing. Which would you rather do?
