One of my kittens got killed this a.m.

Beautiful stray cat had kittens under our deck beginning of June. We've taken care of them, found homes for 3 of them and still had 4 kittens left to get adopted. They have been living behind the house under the deck...but have just been an absolute joy to be around.

This a.m. my wife was letting our dogs out (our front yard is fenced in and the cats usually stayed out) and Simon, the siberian husky saw one of them, took off after him
and attacked him before he could get over the fence. The wife ran after him, got the kitten out of his mouth...and brought him in..he was bleeding quite a bit out of the mouth/nose.

My oldest daughter (she's 19) and I got in the car and drove the 10 minutes to the veterinary hospital but STP (his name) died about 2 minutes before we got there...:brokenheart:
The vet said he had multiple broken ribs, and had bled out internaly.

We now have to really step up finding a home for the remaining kittens (central indiana if anyone is interested). Not sure why I felt the need to share this, but I'm hoping that writing it down will make me feel better...



 
I know the feeling. Animals always get the soft side out of me wether its mine or not. R.I.P Little fella 🙁

yep, it sucks when little kitties die...our Clifford, a 7 month old Siamese/russian blue cross was poisened in our back yard back in may...it was hard to get over, he was a great cat.

Now we have Emo, a 5 month old Tabby, he's damned crazy, we should have called him kamikaze...that cat will jump off anything....kitties are damn cool...hehe guess what Emo, in a few weeks you lose you manhood(cathood? 😕 ) maw hahaha

I'm an emotional wreck right now, and I can't imagine how bad my wife feels..
She's a huge animal lover, and she manages a kennel. She's there right now,
and I can't really call her and check on her.

My friends and I were walking down the street when we saw 2 guys hovered around a small furry thing on the side of the street. It was a kitten! They said it fell off a tree. This was in DC during that MAJOR heat wave, we tried to feed it water but it stopped moving!!! :brokenheart:
 
you guys are making me upset - i just found a mother and she had 3 kitties, and I kept one litlte guy and my gf has the other two. they are so adorable, I can't imagine anyone hurting them

How can you not have a way to post a pic? There are hundreds of free websites all over the internet where you can upload pics.
 
Now I'm thinking about not letting my 2 kittens to play with the Huskey puppy... they seem to be getting along really well though.

Anyway, sorry for your lost =(.

Thanks...you should probably do a little more research.
I googled siberian husky kittens, and was surprised how
often people talked about this happening (check google groups)...
