A couple days ago his poor Accord got broken into. Link to pics. They took everything as you can see in the pics, even his backpack with his spanish book. The wierd thing is they didn't wanna rob in all of the way, so they took his TI-89 calculator out of his backpack and left that.

Thank god insurance is covering for everything to get fixed, it's gonna cost 2.2k to fix everything. The only thing they aren't covering is his radar detector, which is a $100.00 loss.

Hmmm, if you could find him you should take something in return...why not cut off his nuts and take his thumbs...

I take it there is a trunk pop switch inside ths car?

First thing to do is disable that if you have/put anything of value in the trunk. On my Buick, the trunk switch only works if the key is in the ignation. That juts makes it to easy to have someone smash a small window, BUT get into the trunk.

What? A HONDA, getting broken into?! Never!!

Great cars, but they're PRIME targets for theifs.

Sucks for your friend, hope the insurance company comes through for him.

He must of been advertising too much with the sub. I can't stand people who think they must have the bass turned up so that the whole block can hear them.

Been there, done that twice. Tell your friend to get a car alarm. It might scare idiot kids away.

Well, it was nice of them to only break the window to get in. My stereo got stolen with screwdrivers to the locks (passenger and trunk). Damage to locks, metal surrounding locks, the roof of the trunk/shelf behind rear passengers, dash.

Sorry about the theft though.

It's a learning lesson. I have an Accord and first thing to do with any car is to get a car alarm. Even the cheapest one will have a red blinking light and it also allows you to have keyless entry anyway.

I also carry my golf clubs and tennis racquets in my trunk, so my trunk is always locked.

I've only had someone try to break into my car once. I heard it from my room, ran outside and saw the window broken, but that was it. A used driver side window only costs $100 bucks or so.
