One of my computers doesn't show it's DNS servers

CMD/ipconfig/all

shows no DNS servers, my other computer does? I stumbled upon this trying to add the ipv4 address in manually. I thought it was suppose to have the DNS servers listed? Win7 64 Pro OEM

I can't remember but I thought they shown up even when things were set to automatic.. i mean I know what they are but i am missing a minor detail... :hmm:

if they are set manually or by dhcp they should show up in ipconfig /all

I always disabled IPV6 before connecting the machine to the network - as it can and will add entries to the IPV6 tables (and get dhcp of its own) - which you will have to clean up.

For some reason i wish vista/7/2008/R2 had IPV6 disabled by default as it is so easy to forget and then have entries in you AD/DNS/DHCP lease.

#1 cause for home router speed/suckiness is leaving ipv6 on. i think its the cheap switches/routers just don't handle it right.
