One of my cats died during the night

I'm sorry to hear about your loss. It's always hard to lose a beloved pet. We lost my sister's cat Ivan about 4 years ago to FIP. His chest cavity filled with fluid and crushed his lungs. There was nothing any vet could have done, so we just kept him medicated till he died. We also had to put down our dog Carmen of almost 16 years about 3 months ago, cancer was making it difficult for her to get through daily life or even breathe sometimes. She wouldn't have survived this last move, I don't think. I'm probably going to have a breakdown when I lose my cat, who's been my faithful companion and friend for over 6 years.

My old cat years ago got attacked and killed by dogs. I was leaving for work, and he was dead in the carport. I buried him in the desert and cried all the way to work. I am indeed sad to hear about your loss, and I empathise with you. They are a part of the family.
