Well that's what it's been called for years...

EVERY Monday at exactly 13:00 (that's 1PM for those not following along) we hear a siren test.

This is what we hear, about 80 dB INSIDE, well over 110 OUTSIDE!

Does your city/town do this as well?

yea, the first monday of the month around 2:00PM to test the tornado system.

we get those at 1 pm on every first wednesday of the month

Got them when i was growing up in Michigan, tornado siren test. Oddly enough, there are more tornadoes down here in Georgia and I've never heard one in the 3 years I've been living here.
