when you hit the "http" button it asks you for the text can you make it so that if we just want the link liked we dont have to type it twice and leave it blank so when the code looks like this [.l=] [./l] (minus the .) it will just link the link inside of the tag?

It's probably easier to highlight the link when you put it in the first spot, hit Ctrl-C to copy it to the clipboard, and then go to the next spot and hit Ctrl-V to paste it. Saves a whole lot of trouble retyping the link, and it saves the Zuni's time in recoding that part of FuseTalk.
