One more step towards normalized relations with Cuba

Some Republican idiot was saying that means the US is capitulating to Cuba. Jeb Bush I think, but I'll have to look it up.

If I could bring myself to listen to talk radio again(havent in nearly a decade except a random Michael Medved session). Im sure they are going on and on about how Obama is showing his communist colors and normalizing relations with a communist country! Proof!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just another step on his hidden agenda to destroy America. Because he hates America. Anyone paying attention can see that.
 
I really wanted to go there before all the American tourist dollars completely transform that place, but it doesnt look like I'm going to get to do that in time. I suggested to my wife going this summer via Mexico, as going before the embargo was lifted would be much more adventurous. Wife is a little more cautious than I am though, so she nixed it.
 
I almost want Obama to name a nominee for ambassador right before the start of the GOP debates just to add some gasoline to the dumpster fire that the GOP primary is destined to become.

We were going to go ~this month. Then it turned out we are moving cross-country.

The Cuban embargo has been just so much dick-waving for decades. The best way to influence someone is with trade, not lack of trade. Carrots, not sticks.

I dont know. If someone points their nukes at you, a stick should be an option.

But I welcome this change. I really hope the embargo gets lifted soon.
 
All the stick has done is allow more foreign and hostile interests to gain a foothold in Cuba. If we aren't the ones influencing (controlling) our neighbors then it becomes a national security issue.

We need to be fully invested in Cuba and vice versa.

There are plenty of companies chomping at the but to get into Cuba. Sure the people there are poor right now, but get some hotels, casinos, nude beaches :awe: , tobacco and sugar farms up and running and the people will have some cash to spend.

Is that what he was trying to do? I really didn't get comparing Cuba to Iran. Cuba is a eunuch. It has no real army or navy or economy or...anything. How can they be influencing things in other countries?

Hell let's pump a couple billion dollars into the place, get the capitalist juices flowing, then let nature run its course.
 
It's more than a little curious that we are becoming friendlier with Cuba at the same time relations are souring with Russia and China, don't you think?
 
Obama takes care of all hostile-to-US regimes. Obama ignored Iran killing, imprisoning thousands of people after millions protested stolen election. Now he gets them nukes while flipping bird to Israel, Saudi Arabia, Egypt (who he tried to shackle with Muslim Brothers) and others. Obama is wicked and looks out for his kind.
