Iran has no capacity to fight back against the US (fighting a US occupation is different). Just look at what happened to the Iraqi military in 1991 and 2003.

There's no question that the US military could absolutely shred the Iranian military. But after that's done you have to answer one very important question: Now what?

As an addendum to my first statement... China buys a LOT of oil from Iran. IIRC they get half of their oil from Iran. (I could be wrong but that is the stat that sticks in my head) Do you think the Chinese will just sit back and let us pummel the fuel supply to their economic engine?

Talk about a can of worms... Say what you will about Iraq, Iran would be a total disaster. Anything more than a surgical take-out of their nuke facilities would be disasterous for the US.
 
I don't think Jews are treated differently by the govt. Khomeini made it a law for Iranians not to harm or discriminate against Jews and Christians (He said the govts. of the U.S/Israel are the enemy not the people). Even the current Iranian President has mentioned he wants Jews and Muslims to work together (to destroy the "zionist").

The govt. of Iran has better things to do than to mess with 50,000 Jews .. like read the Quran.

It's like sending 2,000 Muslims to the middle of the states where the most hardcore Christians live in the millions. Statistics and common sense will tell you that they will be treated differently.

Outside of Iran in the states,

Jewish Iranians & Muslim Iranians all get along. Iranian is Iranian.

Inside Iran it is the same, but you have some fanatical wacko **@*)(@&#)(! !)(! who are so backward minded that give Iranians a bad name.

Inside the big cities you will find many of the "cool" Iranians who don't wear their scadf properly, women with lots of make-up, boys and girls holding hands etc.

When you step outside the big cities into the village idiot donkey loving farm lands the people there are so backward and fanatical that if you did any of that kind of stuff in their little village that they would probably kill you on the spot.

When the Shah fell, all these backward twisted farm land fanatical wacko idiots were bused into Tehran.
They didn't live in Tehran.

Iran has a large minority section. I believe 9% of Iran is Sunni and a huge portion of Iran is Kurdish. Unlike Iraq, they seem to get along just fine.

There are some minority problems in Iran. In the south sucide bombers blow themselves up. No they are not Iranian. They are Arabs in Iran who want their own country ...... all I have to say is w t f?

Not all Iranians are Persian. Only 50% of Iranians are Persian and they are generally located in the major cities. Outside the major cities you will not find the "Persian" group.
