One more iPod question

I just downloaded and ran the latest iPod Updater, and have a question now that I have the new firmware. On the old firmware, after it was done with iTunes, it would go back to the main screen, and eventually shut off showing the charging screen. With the new firmware, all it is doing is showing OK to Disconnect with a check mark. It isn't shutting down while on the dock, nor is it letting me press and hold play/pause to shut it off. I tried rebooting my computer and the iPod. Is this normal?

If everything still works then I'd say it's ok

Just take it off the dock, it will go to the main menu

I know, but I want to know if it is supposed to while it is on the dock, like it did with the old firmware.

Huh? I don't think it is broke, I'm just wondering if this is normal. I wanted the new firmware because of the backlight problems with the original firmware (backlight only stayed on for the time set, no matter if you pressed a button or not).

damnit...I just wrote a HUGE response, and the damn server timed out ...


anyways short version this time, it will just sit there with the checkmark recharging until you remove it and press anybutton.
