one more ipod question...

prolly downsamples it to 41khz in transmission...honestly, I don't think you would ever hear the difference.

That is of course a VERY crude judgment on my part.

REASONING:

Assuming you are listening to mp3s, the compression has already hurt the audio quailty enough.

EDIT: Unless you mean mp3's encoded @ 48kbit/s second. That is a WHOLE other story. The specs say it can.

In that case are u reffering to audiobooks?

Specs doesn't say anything (unless 320Kbps means 48Khz)

How is this the wrong forum?

The only reason I ask is because I'm ripping audio off of dvd's and it would save me a lot of time if I didn't have to downgrade from 48kHz to 44.1kHz

Thanks

the reason i ask is, i have been using aac for awhile now, in movie rips. even some at 48Khz. but cannot edit and SAVE "annotations" or the metadata in .mp4 format. has this been "fixed" for OSX users - or just via iTunes 4? i figured that was the QT6 update?

From another post...yes..it IS doable.

ENjoy...

<--goes back into the "dunce" corner with his "el-cheapo" MD player now that he can't even afford the $150 model that has recording and the ever-present ac-adapter.

This would be better in peripherals or maybe even general hardware.
