Do they require signatures or anything? My laptop is scheduled to be delivered to my apartment today (via UPS), but I'm not there. I'm hoping they'll leave it with the apartment manager.

All the stuff I've ordered from Dell has required a signature, but it's usually DHL that's delivering it (in an unmarked white van no less...)

FWIW I've had UPS leave an expensive calculator on my front porch in the middle of the day, obviously no one was there to sign for it. I'm not sure this is such a good thing for a $1k+ laptop. :p

well the answer is that you need to sign for it, usually i just call ahead and tell them don't even try to deliver I'll do a will call (can pick it up from the UPS station the same day). If I remember ur in sac, i know they where doing this at the one in San Jose, dunno if they do is at your location

PS: Shoudl have gotten another ibook, i got this deal last nov

-$100 after selling free HP PSC1350
-$30 for signing up for amazon credit card

-$25 amazon gift certificate earned

Which model did you get?
Specs?
Price?
Did you take advantage of a sale, coupons or rebate?

Kinda OT, but can we expect another $750 off coupon any time in the semi-near future.....? :)

I was disappointed with the current $500 off, because to use it, it removes the discounts that they were already giving on the laptops...

600m. 1.3ghz, 512mb, 30gb, 14" XGA screen, etc... it was about $1000 shipped to my door, including tax and everything. It was on sale for 15% off, but they always seem to have some deal like that.

Decent deal considering CA charges sales tax. I would have upgraded to SXGA display.

SynthDude2001 - If I worked in Dell marketing then I would know, I'm guessing maybe around October again?

Aside from being kinda flimsy, the 600m's are nice little notebooks. They are light, quiet, won't burn your crotch, and have incredible battery life.
