one more component, msi nforce 4 ultra?

so i've decided to build an amd 64 3000 skt 939 and I need mobo.

i'm leaning towards the MSI pci express NON sli

the thing is that I am planning to buy a 6600 v card, which as SLI capabilities. so i thought...sholdn't I get an SLI mobo? OR...if my mobo isn't SLI, i should just get a cheaper vcard that isn't SLI???

but right now, i read the DFI mobo review, with the SLI pencil mod...and I'm thinking I should get that for only 140 if I get my hands on it?

any suggestions for a pci express mobo if I buy right now? if not, I may get the MSI...

i'm not planning to overclock. thanks.

Try reading some fourms before posting, but I'll help you out anywho. SLI isn't worth it, not even for the upgrade factor. The next gen video card that costs $200 will prolly be much better then 2 Geforce 6600 GTs in SLI. I have the MSI K8N Neo 4 and I love it. Also, the Ultra and SLI are the exact same chipsets. So, point is, if you have no intention of SLI, don't spend the extra money.

thanks for responding. I did try to read forums, but I'm new...I appreciate your advice.

I guess, I'll just go with the MSI board, and not worry about the DFI lan party....
