One long beep?

Hi,

Please help me here, I have no idea what's going on.

I put an ASUS v7000 Deluxe in my machine, and now, when loading Windows, I hear a beep. And just before the end, whenI get the regular desktop image, the screen flickers to black. Everything is normal in Windows, though. Suspecting a hardware conflict, I checked everything, but all seems fine, no exclamation marks, nothing.

Do you thing there's something wrong here?

Are yo overclocking the card. It maybe your overclockerd settings actually setting in. My gts does something similat but no noise. What versin of windows are you running btw???

No, I'm not overclocking - I just put it in, and until I'm comfortable with it, I'm not playing with tweak settings. I have Win98.

The actual boot time does not seem to have changed, it loads just as fast as before...

Hmm if there's no real problem besdies a little noise why worry aobut it. IF there are irq conflicts etc deal with them when hte problem arrises. Don't worry about stuff that's not a problem at the moment.
