PS2 remote? You can use ANY IR remote, including your universal remotes. It then translates all the button functions that directly relate to buttons on the PS3 BD remote and maps it so that the PS3 essentially is tricked into believing the PS3 BD remote has been used.

Yeh, but they cannot turn it on and /off. The one that I use with my PS3 and Logitech harmony universal remote only cost me ~$15. But, it does not turn it on and off like the one listed on the page that was linked in the OP.
