One In Four males has had a same-sex sexual encounter.

OK normally I'd post this as a joke and parody on the other thread - but I've actually heard this before from health books. I think it's totally crap. Obviously it's not something somebody will brag about but I really can't believe that 1 in 4 guys has had even a small sexual encounter with another guy.

Anybody else fed this line in school health class? I think it was 1 in 6 for females.

So, if there's 48 girls in the one tower of residence where I visit often, and it's one in six ...

No way its that high..I can see it for girls, according to my gf they like to 'experiment' when they are younger, but guys?? no way.

Just my opinion, but I would have thought that the numbers for female-female encounters would be greater than the male-male encounters.

I can believe 1 in 4 is true.

Also if more were given the opportunity (with no chance of other people finding out) it'd say it would be as high as 1 in 2.

The only thing most guys fear is other people finding out. Most would stick it in a hole in a fence if it felt good.

Quite the interesting report... one wonders what he had to prove?

My question is how they got the numbers..?

With my knowledge I would say that number is true.

i love you! -j/k

But what are they classifing as "encounter" full on butt humping, pole smoking, kissing, heavy petting?

1 in 6 for girls?
i would say 1 in 4 maybe 1 in 3.

Lots of boys get molested by homosexuals. This probably makes up a lot of them.
and an equal number, probably more of boys are molested by heterosexuals. what is your point?

Gay clubs of course.

Three out of four dentists recommend Trident for their patients that chew gum.

BTW - I am interested in Ms Skoorbs input with regard to this subject.

I remember reading that the study done on it said that most of the encounters were from guys taking part in mutual masterbation, or masterbating together.

Yea, I suspect this would be the case. When I was in my early teens I walked in on a couple friends whacking off! 😱 They were not touching each other just killing kittens. 😀 It was weird, but I never considered them as "gay" or anything, just less inhibited.

Doing a Google search, I found THIS website that has a lot of different statistics from over the years by many different polling/statistics groups.

This is from the page:
And finally, a ponderous National Opinion Research Center (NORC) study published in 1994 as "The Social Organization of Sexuality" found that 9 percent of the men and 4 percent of the women reported engaging in at least some homosexual behavior since puberty.

Interesting, isn't it? Kinda sad. We are told about lesbians all our live, but when it comes down to it, I'm twice as likely to have sex the a guy than with 2 girls. 🙁😱

Just wondering why on earth Skoorb would post this!
