One hour until my 2003 review and 2004 Salary review....

Is this the year I actually get recognized for all the work I do and the all the responsibility that is laid upon my shoulders??

I'm freakin' nervous....

Based on my research I'm under-paid by $15k-$30k/year in this market for what I do.

Hopefully in less than an hour I'll no longer be a lowly(sounding) IS Technician...

You aren't under paid... Everything thinks they are underpaid. That is because a lot of IT jobs are in Silicon Valley, where the inflation is high. Everyone bases the wages there...

Better hope your raise is based on the number of posts you make here everyday and not the amount of real work you do!!!

J/K but then you knew that, didnt you?

Good luck but dont be surprised at anything these days.

The research I did was supposedly based in SLC, not California.

Good luck man! I had my performance review and it was good but I don't hear about salary for another month. I'm overpaid, but I don't think I'm overpaid enough!

I've not known of a single salary survey they based the results on one location.

remeber no one will give you a raise if you dont ask for it. make sure they know you are looking for better money,

If you're really underpaid by 15-30k then you're an idiot for working for that amount. Walk out the door and go get the salary that is due to you. The only reason you would have for staying put is that you know that you're not worth more.

In the IT field the supply has exceeded the demand. Thus if you don't want to continue to work for your present salary, there are a thousand people waiting who will gladly take your place, and employers know this.

i got my review and raise yesterday
since the OP hasn't updated everyone - i will

i got 6%..my lowest raise in 3 years (but i'll have another review in 6 months)

There may be a surplus of IT "professions" out of jobs, but a healthy portion of them don't know their ass from their elbow when it comes to IT experience and knowledge.
