One Hot Minute is outstanding

One Hot Minute is close to if not their worst album (I still own it because im a huge RHCP fan). It has Dave Navarro instead of Frusciante and ALL the Chili Peppers and even Dave admit that they just weren't in sync with eachother at the time. I'll grant you they made some really good songs on the CD though. Some are great to listen to (Aeroplane, Pea, Walkabout, My Friends to name a few) but its not the Chili Peppers at their finest.

Blood Sugar Sex Magik is the CD I consider them to be at their finest on. Their last 2 albums (By the Way and Californication) have a lot of good stuff on them too.

You sir, are no RHCP fan. Listen to Blood Sugar Sex Magik and Mother's Milk before you say One Hot Minute is good. OHM made me stop buying their CDs.

I remember when I bought that CD, I got an extra one free in the same CD case. It was weird. I unwrapped the CD, opened up the case, and a CD fell out. I looked inside, and another CD was still in there. Both were the identical One Hot Minute CD. I ended up just giving the extra to a friend. I wish that happened more often!

It sucked, so badly that I'm embarrassed I bought it for full price.

The first few RHCP albums are great - actually I hung out with them many many years ago, and have an autographed copy of Freaky Styley (produced by George Clinton, and by far their best record IMO). They started down the long road toward lameness with Mother's Milk, and their records got worse and worse and worse. I used to be a huge fan, but their music over the last 12 years or so is worthless IMO.

My friends is a great song. Aeroplane was ok, but a bit annoying. I bought that album. It was not good. Mother's milk I was not huge on. BSSM is... I mean, do I even need to say it? It was so good that RHCP were doomed to go down hill after it, because it was totally untouchable.

Anthony Keidis is a big bitch.

That he is. He also might have the least ability to sing on key of any successful professional musician. He seems to be completely tone-deaf.

The two times ive seen RHCP live he was on key.
There was some MTV thing the band did and he was horribly off key though.

Still, RHCP puts on a helluva show.
