She formed that nearly 10 minute essay of a speech on the systems failure to teach beyond the test. She quoted comments from multiple sources supporting her critical assertion against the school system. research to find those quotes must have taken some time and at least a little effort & interest on her part.

Listening to what she had said the cynic in me would say it's self contradicting twaddle.
But I think it's more a case of being to young and lacking the experience to comprehend the value of what she has learned or skills she has developed through her years in high school and how they will or could serve her in the future.

OK, this is just all kinds of weird.

That is one way to look it, the other way is that she still doesn't give two sh!ts about learning and is instead continuing to game the system by playing victim of "public education" to self-promote. Either way, it's a cheap shot at teachers who wasted their time trying to teach her.

While I agree that she shouldn't complain when she always had the option to learn things properly, at the same time, you can't game the system when you have a good teacher. You can't pass a well written test by memorizing the material the night before. So many teachers give "reviews" that are basically telling the students the things to memorize for the test, and the students do so. Well, the student had the chance to learn it properly, but the teacher didn't do much to encourage said student to do so. If the student comes from a home where real learning was never taught, how can we expect the student to do so when it is so easy to game the system in so many classrooms?

Just admit it bro. When you're looking up what kind of conductor you need to run power to a new apartment building, all you're doing is adding up loads in the building then looking in a table to see which size of wire is legally allowed for that much current. Any dumb ass could do that.
