There’s a reason the headline of this story didn’t use the word “photograph” to describe the image of Morgan Freeman pictured below. It’s incredible enough that the ridiculously realistic image was created by an oil painter and illustrator — but what’s mind-blowing is the fact that it was created with one finger on an iPad Air.

Photo editing has come so far I can't even tell what's been photo shopped anymore let alone this master piece!

Proves nothing. That analysis is not done on the original image which is a 4096 x 3072 PNG file.

That image is from the press release and was resized and resaved in photoshop. No surprise then that the compressed press release image would show compression artefacts and evidence of being processed in photoshop.

Why would that 'image from the press release' contain an ID from the original photo in the ancestor list then?
