So I am thinking about building a PC, but staying under $1000. What do you think of this

Chaintech 7NJS Ultra m/b
512mb 3200 crucial tech ddr in (2x256)
Antec True 430 watt p/s
2x SATA WD 10k rpm drives on Raid 0
160gb maxtor 8mb cache

Video card is the only thing I am wondering about. What's the best card for <$175 still maintaining a decent system. and maybe what are your choices on a motherboard switch.

I'd get a Radeon 9600 XT for around $170 and an athlon64 3000+ for ~ $220 and just 512mb ram i hope its gonna be good enough for u...
Damn i see u need a lot of hard drive memory thou

I wouldn't go with a Raptor RAID setup, if you are using it primarily as a boot drive and for gaming, you will see very little performance increase by putting a pair of them in a RAID 0 array...I did, and then went with only one and could barely tell a difference...use that money to grab another 2 512MB sticks of RAM.
