I don't think anyone is saying that a law was not broken, but using that as the basis of a rational arguement is foolish, laws change everyday, this is not a moral standard.

IF you step back and crack a history book and look at how the southwest works it is kinda silly to label them invaders or any of that, you can draw a line but it will not stop the world from doing what it must to carry on.

It's like blaming katrina the hurricane for breaching the levee, it's pointless and the damage is done.

Ah, but unlike the Katrina damage, THIS CAN be undone...we just need the backbone to do it.

Gather them up, and send them home in a box...box-car or pine box, let THEM choose the mode of transport...

Care to point out how our founders were racist elitists?

Sure they were flawed in character at times but on a whole they did write that every man was equal and deserved the right to a living.

That is the big difference between action and talk, and these men showed through action where their hearts were, not the writers of the immigration act.

Maybe you should read your constitution more often if you think so low of the founders.

A few points:

1. Find out why this MASSIVE migration is going on, I mean on a historical scale this is insane, something is VERY wrong, and a lot of people are looking at globalization deals we have with mexico raping them of peasents land for multinationals profits.

2. Find out how we can stop or if we even want to stop the flow of labor into this country once we look at our long term benefits (social security etc.)

3. Find out how to document who is coming in to work. Background checks, etc.

4. Protect workers right to unionize and whistle-blow to protect wages from the undocumenteds employers. (scabs)

Did women vote in their day? No. Did they own slaves? Yes. What more proof do you need?

Applied then, applies now. I'm not racist...I just want to buy a T-shirt for less than 10 bucks and I don't think farmers are willing to pay the mexicans more than $15 a day to chop cotton.

And would you support the law that says women should not vote back then? It was a law you know.

Did not apply then, the thing the anti-immigration crowd was wrong again and again and again.

Wages did not plummet and america prospered every time, how does it feel to be on the losing side of a age old argument proven wrong for 100s of years?

What DO you think america stands for anyways? I got mine so FU?

Unfortunately Washington is a blue state and this is how they are ignoring Federal laws and sticking it to the taxpayers. Of course this is only one instance (medicaid) and one state....how many other instances and states could we reasonably multiply that by?

Seattle PI

Do yourself a favor and get a map of Washington's political affiliations by county. 99% of the illegals are in that big old red half.

what orifice did you pull those numbers out of?
I don't have to look at a map, I live in western Washington...the blue half...and I know how many Mexicans are on this side...I see them every day on main street, in the restaurants, tree planting/brush picking crews, christmas tree crews....In a small town of 8,000 people there are a signifcant number of buisnesses that cater just to that clientel, because there are so many in this county.

And if they are here legally I think thats great, if not they should be deported.

there are also a significant amount in central washington working the orchards those are the red counties you speak of.

Further over in eastern washington are mostly wheat farmers and they don't use mexicans they use combines to harvest wheat.

It is going on because the illegals know we arent doing anything about it. They can pass our borders unfettered. Your land raping theory is BS.

2. Find out how we can stop or if we even want to stop the flow of labor into this country once we look at our long term benefits (social security etc.)

First, secure our border. Second, dont give amnesty to those who are here illegally. Third, impose HEAVY fines and sanctions on businesses and private companies who hire illegals. Thats a start. And very doable.

3. Find out how to document who is coming in to work. Background checks, etc.

That is already in place. Do you know what has to be done to enter the USA legally? Apperantly you dont.

4. Protect workers right to unionize and whistle-blow to protect wages from the undocumenteds employers. (scabs)

I wont comment on unions in this thread. The fact is, if there are FILLED jobs at 5 bucks/hour, its because there are those who will WORK for that wage. Free market system in use.

You are avoiding, as usual. That is not the law NOW, which is what we're talking about. Now. Answer my question. It's a simple yes or no.

Then you should be fine with labor migrating as most signs to why this happened point to a "free market" NAFTA policy that brought them here and destroyed their homeland.

Blowbacks a b1tch, but hey thats the "free market", what is the conservative term for inconvient economic situations? suck it up, yeah thats it. Suck it up and figure out where we go from here.

Who cares what you think of the founding fathers? If you want to think of them as racist elitests to justify your position of using a KKK inspired law to try to moralize this and make another people out to be evil, thats speaks of your character, not the founding fathers.

What they wrote was all man are created equal, that is what matters.

Since you're such a supporter of the ILLEGAL invaders, Steeplerot, will you repay the $75 million Washington state taxpayers and ultimately U.S. taxpayers could be forced to repay for those ILLEGAL invaders you support?

If you were on the winning side frankly your grandparents would still be in europe.

If it was not for people thinking rationally your ancestors would have "missed the boat"

Hope you all are proud of being traitors to your countries heritige, becasue this is exactly what you are. :lips:

If your great great grandma was around still she would slap you silly heh.

Yep I'm ready. *IF* the left wing socialists of this country like you get their way and pass amnesty, we will repeat the cycle we have already been through the last few times we did it...cause an even BIGGER influx of illegals into our country :)
