One drive holding shadow copy files from multiple drives?

Has anyone setup shadow copies (from Windows Server 2003) of multiple drives and have the shadow copy files located on a separate, single volume?

For example, I have drives D, E, and F. All three have shadow copies enabled. Can all three shadow copy location be set to G? I know it is possible but is it recommended? Are there performance issues?

Thanks.

So I've gathered that shadow copy storage locations cannot be mapped across a network (i.e. \\server\g$) and must be located in a location recognized as a local volume (SAN counts).

Still, does anyone have experience with locating shadow copy storage files from say, D E F drives to G?
