$30 MIR. Not a bad deal, all my WD rebates have come in about 4 weeks after mailing.

wd rebates are excellent. seagate's are also quite good; only one has arrived late for me.

Hm... seems newegg can't compete with zzf so they had to make a rebate. zzf has this drive for $165 out of the door for several weeks now.

320 GB in base 10 equals 298.02 GB in base 2, or as stupid people say 'on windows'

320GB (in decimal) is 100101010000001011111001000000000000000 GB in binary

320 GB using 1000 bytes per kilobyte (etc.) corresponds to a disk size of 298.023223876953125 GB using 1024 bytes per kilobyte (etc.), all in decimal.

Right, because ZZF probably has more buying power than newegg. There isnt anything that newegg couldnt compete on if they wanted, its the dell effect. They either dont want to or more likely, just plain dont have to. I worked at bestbuy, saw the markups, hell they could undercut every company on the internet if they wanted to (granted they have to support a different business model), but they dont have to because ppl dont care enough to buy it cheaper.

Fine, so they don't compete. I'm not worse off, I'll just but it at zzf.

omg why isn't this a seagate :( after all my WD and maxtor HDD's died w/in two years of buying them i'll never go w/ anything other than seagate

wouldn't be a back drive for someone who really doesn't abuse their drives though
