Hi All,
I got my girls the Itouch ipod for Chistmas and now I need to go wireless with my broadband. I don't know where to begin. wireless G wireless N ????? Sales people seem
eager to push product they know little about, so I've come to the experts for help.
Thanks In Advance.

The iPod Touch only supports G, so N would be pretty useless for you. N (draft) wireless products are pretty expensive now, and I don't see the point of you investing in it when you don't have any other N cards on your network and the standard (802.11n) hasn't even been ratified yet. I'd get a G router and when the finalized version of N is released you can purchase it if you absolutely need the extra speed.

The only people I'd recommend N products to are the people that absolutely need the extra speed for local LAN file transfers, and don't mind scrapping their new expensive N equipment if for some reason the finalized version of N is not compatible with the draft N products out now.

Thanks Jack. I now understand what the N (draft) is. I'm tempted to print this out and give it to the sales staff at the local best buy and staples. It may help them explain (N) to the next person they deal with.
I'll be getting a G router.
thanks again
