One cable or two when setting up RAID HD's?

I'm building a new system with RAID. Mobo is a Soyo Dragon Plat. My question is do I use one cabe for one IDE and put the drives in Master/Slave or two cables on its own IDE and both drives as master? I think the later!

Two Ts in latter. :)

The single drive per cable configuration provides the highest performance. Doing it the other way will kill performance due to only one drive being active at a time on the cable (so a striping operation has to wait for each drive to finish to send the piece of data to the next drive, rather than sending it to both drives at the same time).

Nuts. Guess I'll have to order another glow-in-the-dark cable now.:p Both my HD's in RAID 0 on my secondary system are on the same cable. Oh well, just more stuff to have glowing in the case I guess.:D
