One cable line, three computers?

Is that possible. A colleague has one desktop at home connected to the 'net via an external cable modem. He wants to connect his second desktop, and his laptop to this same cable line, also. Is this possible?
Where can I gather any info on this?
As always, thank you folks!

Go to this site for info http://www.practicallynetworked.com/.

Basically, you can connect multiple computers to the web on one connection if they are networked. You will need some type of internet sharing software such as Wingate, Sygate or Microsoft ICS if you already have 98 SE or W2K, or else a cable/DSL router. It's not hard, there are a million threads about it here.
