ONDA develops 1.5GB, overclocked GeForce GTX 550 Ti

ONDA's custom GF116-based card features a 4+2-phase power design, tantalum core capacitors, 192 CUDA Cores, GPU and shader clocks of 1000 MHz and 2000 MHz (900/1800 MHz stock), a 192-bit memory interface, and 1536MB of GDDR5 memory set to 4400 MHz (stock models have a 1GB @ 4100 MHz).

Very interesting, 1.5GB with 192-bit memory controller.

barely faster than a 5770.... with 1.5gb?

I doubt this card will be playing at resolutions that would need so much Vram... which means the *ONLY* reason its there is marketing.

theyre hopeing those that dont know any better will see 1.5gb ram, and buy the product because of it.

I mean the 460 comes in a 768mb version and its much faster... what good is a decently slower card doing with 1.5gb? If anything it ll just make the card cost more than it already does (and its already bad value at 150$).

Still only 192 cores.

The 460 is still a MUCH better buy. Unless the 550 gets in the 100 or less range I would pass.

I bought my 450 at $90 about 4months ago and thought that was fair.
