Growing up, I heard this statement frequently from my father. I was young and impressionable at the time and so I accepted it at face value. Now that I am older, I am beginning to question the things I was taught and I am wondering if the adage "once you go black, you never go back" is true. I have never had the experience of "going black" but perhaps some others have and can share their experiences and perhaps compare and contrast them for me.

is this a racial thing? because if it is, I admit I am addicted to Asians and I can't go black at all.

I think it means, once you try black, you would even go back to the black again.

Once you try black, you'll never go back (to black).
