Worst movie ever :| I seriously want my $8 and two hours back. The plot sucked, the effects sucked, the whole thing just felt thrown together. Bleah, I give it a D-.

I had at least some hope for OUATIM, but Underworld? lol, there's no hope at all for that steaming pile of melted movie film...

I just got back from seeing it.

and yes, it sucked BIG TIME. Boy was I dissapointed. I don't remember Desperado too much, but Once Upon a Time in Mexico was more of a stupid comedy than some cool action flick. I mean, in some parts of the movie I just couldn't stop from laughing at how dumb it was. My friends and I were thinking about walking out of the movie but I'm not gonna pay $9.25 for nothing.

Totally wasn't expecting such a bad movie. And it actually got a somewhat good review on rottentomatoes.

What a letdown

While it may not be the best, 66/72% Fresh rating on Rottentomatoes (out of 10/92) isn't too shabby. I'll be seeing it, if only to continue along with Rodriguez's work. El Mariachi --> Desperado --> OUATIM

There's also the tongue-in-cheek quality that these films are going for. Not a straight action-flick, but part action, part comedy, part weird, part comic bookishness, I dunno ;)

yeah, I know what they were going for and they did a horrible job of it.

P.S. All of you hoping to see Salma Hayek, she's barely even in the movie...doesn't play a roll really at all.

If you wanted to continue along his work, you have to include the Spy Kids Trilogy man.

i liked it, but of course my opinion is biased, as i loved the previous movies. for a $30 million budget, i was actually amazed by the effects and the caliber or actors he secured. but to each his own i suppose.

btw, its a total guy movie, so if you go in expecting a love story or something, be prepared to be dissapointed.

True to his budget conscious form, he wrote, directed, produced, edited, cinematographed, and composed it!! : Q

The guy is really pretty amazing!
